AbilityNet SouthEast
AbilityNet is a charity whose aim is to make the benefits of computers available to people with disabling or limiting conditions. Through its national offices and regional partners AbilityNet provides a freephone information and advice line on 0800 269545 as well as a range of services including assessments of student’s technology needs, a range of courses including Disability Awareness, the DDA and reasonable adjustment, Windows accessibility, using assistive hardware and software as well as tailored IT kits for colleges and support on their use
Action for Blind People
Action for Blind People work with Blind and Partially sighted clients and have four main strands of work. These are Information and Support, Housing, Leisure and Employment. They are willing to provide free visual awareness training to members of the SEN/LLDD Network in using Jaws and Supernova software.
